What is NOLAServeUS?
A free tool that holds the city accountable — built by New Orleans, for New Orleans.

NOLAServeUS is a free app for New Orleans residents to report neighborhood problems, track whether the city actually fixes them, and hold city departments to a public grade — based on 14 years of the city's own 311 data, not on what the city says about itself.

When you file a report, a clock starts. If the city misses its own deadline, you get notified. Your neighbors can co-sign your report to show the city this is not one person's problem — it is the whole block's problem. And when a department keeps failing, the grade is published for everyone to see.

But NOLAServeUS is not only an accountability tool. It is a community organizing platform — connecting neighbors, coordinating cleanups, running anti-littering campaigns, and building the neighborhood pride that makes our streets better regardless of how long the city takes to respond. We do what we can. We demand what they owe us.

How it works — for residents
1
Report it
Take a photo and tap a category. The app knows your location. Takes 60 seconds. Your report goes on the public map immediately.
2
Track it
A 4-step timeline shows where your complaint stands. You get notified the moment the city misses its own deadline — and again at escalation.
3
Co-sign it
See a neighbor's report about the same flooding on your block? Upvote it. The city sees 34 neighbors on one complaint differently than it sees 34 separate tickets.
4
Verify it
When the city says it's fixed — you decide if that's true. You can mark it "not fixed" and reopen it. The city does not grade itself here.
We are here to listen, not to pitch.
This app only works if it reflects what residents actually need. Before we build anything final, we want to hear from the people who know these neighborhoods better than anyone. We have data. You have lived experience. Both matter — and the platform will be shaped by what you tell us.

Questions for the community
Before we build, we want to hear from you. These are the five questions we are asking at every meeting — because the people in this room know these neighborhoods better than any dataset.
What this is not
Not a replacement for 311
You can still call 311. NOLAServeUS works alongside it — adding the community verification and public accountability that 311 was never designed to have.
Not a political app
The grades come from 14 years of the city's own 311 records. We did not invent the numbers. We just made them visible to the people they affect most.
Not about one party
Broken streetlights and unfixed sewers do not care who you voted for. This is about service delivery — and whether the city is meeting its obligation to every resident equally.
Not going away
Built by a New Orleans company — PennTech LLC — for New Orleans residents. Funded by grants and community support. Not by the city. Not contingent on anyone's approval.
